Job Description
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for semiconductor-related commodities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, cost reduction initiatives, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional suppliers, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost, and lead times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, engineering, operations, finance) across multiple locations to support RFQs, bids, material planning, and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze market trends, manage pricing databases, prepare cost breakdowns and BOMs, and provide reporting and strategic input to management for informed decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee inventory and freight cost control, ensure policy compliance through audits, and implement process improvements to support scalability, efficiency, and business growth.
The Successful Applicant
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field, with 6-8 years of commodity management and sourcing experience, particularly in cable assemblies and harness components.
- Technical & Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry trends, pricing, and supply dynamics; familiarity with commodities like wire, cable, connectors, and machined components is preferred.
- Procurement & Systems Expertise: Skilled in contract negotiation, supplier development, cost reduction, and BOM/spend analysis; proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office tools.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to manage cross-functional and remote teams, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts with integrity and professionalism.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Analytical thinker with a proactive, results-driven mindset; experience in Lean manufacturing and a strong desire for learning and process optimization.
