What you will do

As a Sourcing Lead in the Knowledge Services team, you will be responsible for executing complex and strategic sourcing projects across categories/sub-categories. Your responsibilities include translating business requirements into clear statements of work, soliciting bids, and leading auctions. We are looking for 5-8 years of relevant purchasing or supply chain experience with strong project management skills. Specific category experience (MRO, Capex, Professional services, food ingredients) is preferred. Team management experience is a must.

• Execute complex and strategic sourcing projects, including translating business requirements into statements of work, soliciting bids, and leading auctions.
• Prepare negotiation scripts, negotiate with suppliers, make recommendations, onboard, qualify, and contract with new vendors, ensuring compliance.
• Demonstrate the ability to apply and translate business expertise into innovative solutions that significantly impact the client’s long-term strategic position.
• Manage and optimize sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to corporate standards. Provide necessary input to enablement groups.
• Engage with internal and external partners to ensure decisions are comprehensive and support daily operations.
• Manage project allocation, support team members during kick-offs, and share best practices.
• Monitor performance satisfaction, ensure SLAs are met, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recruitment.

What you should bring

• Minimum 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience (management consulting experience is a plus).
• Language proficiency in English, Malay, Chinese, or other languages (additional languages are an advantage).
• Experience in direct procurement, such as food ingredients and raw materials, is preferred.
• Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Effective communication skills for face-to-face and phone interactions with clients in US/Europe.
• Strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Consultative skills, including industry best practices, process definition, and cross-functional exposure.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Hands-on sourcing experience, including e-Auctions, and category expertise in both direct and indirect categories across multiple industries.
