Responsibilities:

1. Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
2. Monitor job progress, and provide regular feedback.
3. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
4. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct/indirect materials (e.g., raw materials, components, MRO).
5. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the organization's material needs, considering cost, quality, lead times, and risk.
6. Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and establishing relationships.
7. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
8. Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reduction and risk mitigation.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, resolving performance issues proactively.
10. Communicate effectively with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
11. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
12. Lead supplier identification, qualification, and evaluation processes.
13. Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to align material specifications and sourcing decisions.
14. Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.
15. Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing materials for prototypes and scaling production.
16. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, or alternate sourcing strategies.
17. Monitor and analyze material costs to identify areas for improvement. Track and report savings against organizational targets.
18. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS) and ethical sourcing practices.
19. Promote sustainable sourcing initiatives and supplier diversity programs.
20. Monitor supply chain risks (geopolitical, logistical, supplier financial health) and develop contingency plans.
21. Diversify supplier base to minimize disruptions.
22. Utilize ERP systems and analytics tools (Excel, Power BI) to track KPIs (OTD, quality, cost savings).
23. Maintain accurate supplier and material data records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong supervisory and leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
• Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect materials (e.g., raw materials, components, MRO).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Ability to effectively analyze supplier performance and resolve issues proactively to ensure quality, delivery, and cost compliance.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Quality) and suppliers.
• A proactive approach to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements (e.g., vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate supply chain risks and minimize disruptions.
