Job summary

Singapore Telecommunications Limited in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Sourcing Executive to support Sales and Pricing teams in sourcing cost-competitive last-mile services.

You will play an important role in supporting the competitiveness of our international data services by responding to sourcing requirements, developing market benchmarks and working closely with partners and Global Alliance teams to achieve competitive cost structures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Engineering or related discipline.
• 1 year of relevant experience in bid management, pricing, sourcing, or ICT.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Good negotiation and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple sourcing requests and meet deadlines.
• Experience in telecommunications or ICT industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely day-to-day responses to quotation and sourcing requests.
• Support KPIs, including quotation turnaround times.
• Source last-mile service options based on requirements and benchmarks.
• Coordinate sourcing information for Sales and Pricing teams.
• Maintain accurate sourcing data to support pricing activities.
• Collaborate with partners and Global Alliance teams to improve cost structures.
• Escalate exceptions through appropriate approvals.

We are looking for a Sourcing Executive to support Singtel's Sales and Pricing teams in sourcing cost-competitive last-mile services. You will play an important role in supporting the competitiveness of our international data services by responding to sourcing requirements, developing market benchmarks and working closely with partners and Global Alliance teams to achieve competitive cost structures.

Make an Impact by:

1. Sourcing & Quotation Support

• Provide timely day-to-day responses to quotation and sourcing requests.
• Support agreed KPIs, including quotation turnaround times.
• Source last-mile service options based on business and solution requirements.
• Coordinate sourcing information required by Sales and Pricing teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely sourcing information to support pricing activities.

2. Market Benchmarking & Cost Competitiveness

• Establish and maintain last-mile market benchmarks to assess whether partner costs are competitive.
• Gather and analyse available market pricing information across relevant local markets.
• Compare partner quotations and identify competitive sourcing options.
• Provide relevant cost information to Pricing teams to support competitive international data-service propositions.

3. Partner & Global Alliance Coordination

• Work closely with partners and Global Alliance teams to support improved cost structures.
• Build effective working relationships with partners to facilitate quotation requests and cost escalations.
• Follow up with partners to obtain timely pricing and sourcing information.
• Coordinate sourcing-related issues with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

4. Market & Regulatory Awareness

• Develop working knowledge of last-mile services relevant to assigned sourcing activities.
• Build an understanding of regulatory and governance requirements across relevant markets.
• Apply applicable sourcing processes and governance requirements when obtaining and managing partner quotations.
• Escalate commercial or solution exceptions through the appropriate approval channels.

Skills for Success

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in bid management, pricing, sourcing, commercial operations and/or the ICT industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to compare pricing and cost information.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to organise and prioritise multiple sourcing requests while meeting critical deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented approach to quotations, pricing information and sourcing documentation.
• Experience or knowledge of the telecommunications or ICT industry.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and last-mile services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
