Job summary

Silitech Technology Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement-focused professional to drive commodity strategies for direct materials across product lines. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal departments to clarify specs, timelines, costs, and quality, and to convert requirements into actionable orders.

You will lead supplier sourcing, qualification, contract reviews, and end-to-end P2P processes, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and cost savings across projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for production materials (Direct Materials) aligned with business requirements and product line needs
• Collaborate with user departments to clarify specifications, timelines, quality standards, and budgets; convert requirements into actionable demand lists
• Consolidate similar demands and drive standardization initiatives
• Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding processes
• Conduct new supplier assessments and qualification
• Maintain supplier performance records; perform quarterly/semi-annual evaluations
• Lead phase-out processes for underperforming suppliers
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships
• Draft and review contracts; negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, and delivery milestones to mitigate risks
• Issue purchase orders and track fulfillment (material production, service delivery)
• Promptly resolve delays, specification discrepancies, or quality issues
• Ensure smooth handover of new project development parts with suppliers
• Review supplier cost breakdowns and quotations
• Drive supplier-initiated Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities
• Monitor and validate cost-saving results through post-project evaluations
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
• Optimize the end-to-end P2P (Procure-to-Pay) sourcing process
• Align non-production material procurement with new project launch timelines
• Coordinate with user departments to complete material/service acceptance
• Regularly update user departments and management on sourcing progress, supplier issues, and cost savings
