Position Title: Sourcing Analyst

Position Location: Malaysia, Klang

Position Overview: The Global Strategic Sourcing Analyst ensures supply assurance, manages costs effectively, and maintains stewardship in support of internal and external customers. Responsibilities include system management tasks such as price updates, invoice discrepancy resolution, and vendor registration. The analyst will support various projects and daily operations related to material sourcing, usage tracking, forecasting, and price reconciliation. They may also source materials to ensure optimal value and supply assurance. While focusing on daily activities, the role also involves process improvement initiatives. The analyst reports to a senior sourcing team member.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  1. Transactional: Invoice resolution, system support.
  2. Sourcing Support: Serve as the first contact with plants and suppliers to resolve payment issues, assist with requests for quotes, analyze bids, track volumes for rebates and contract compliance, perform spend analysis, and assist in bid preparations.
  3. Sourcing: May manage sourcing for specific categories.
  4. Additional: Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and procedures, manage order quantities and volumes.

TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in sourcing or related functions is a plus. Experience in a chemical company is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin for work communication.
  • Experience with S&OP/ERP/payment systems, proficient in Microsoft Office, self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn.
  • Skills: Problem-solving, strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, excellent written and verbal skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Training: Will receive comprehensive training including management systems, sourcing skills, and role-specific proficiency development.
  • Competencies: Adaptability to change, accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, self-management.
