Job Responsibilities
- Implement policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Department in liaison with management.
- Perform ultrasound scans and produce high-quality sonograms for radiologist interpretation.
- Ensure that the indication for scan has been addressed and images obtained meet radiologist expectations.
- Maintain efficient day-to-day operations to ensure quality services are delivered.
- Take initiative on corrective actions in response to complaints or non-conformities and suggest improvements for service quality.
- Assist the Chief Radiographer in maintaining and caring for ultrasound equipment and related accessories.
- Support the administrative and operational activities of the department alongside the Chief Radiographer.
- Assist in supervising, training, and orienting junior radiographers and support staff.
- Provide the highest standard of patient care at all times to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure tidiness, cleanliness, and hygienic measures to prevent cross-infection in the department are maintained at all times.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ultrasound imaging.
- Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, small parts).
- Competency in advanced ultrasound modalities (e.g., Doppler, 3D/4D imaging) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.
- Ability to manage emergency cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
