Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Implement policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Department in liaison with management.
  2. Perform ultrasound scans and produce high-quality sonograms for radiologist interpretation.
  3. Ensure that the indication for scan has been addressed and images obtained meet radiologist expectations.
  4. Maintain efficient day-to-day operations to ensure quality services are delivered.
  5. Take initiative on corrective actions in response to complaints or non-conformities and suggest improvements for service quality.
  6. Assist the Chief Radiographer in maintaining and caring for ultrasound equipment and related accessories.
  7. Support the administrative and operational activities of the department alongside the Chief Radiographer.
  8. Assist in supervising, training, and orienting junior radiographers and support staff.
  9. Provide the highest standard of patient care at all times to both internal and external customers.
  10. Ensure tidiness, cleanliness, and hygienic measures to prevent cross-infection in the department are maintained at all times.
Job Requirements
  1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ultrasound imaging.
  2. Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, small parts).
  3. Competency in advanced ultrasound modalities (e.g., Doppler, 3D/4D imaging) is an advantage.
  4. Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.
  5. Ability to manage emergency cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Compassionate, patient-centered attitude.
