SOLUTIONS (INFRASTRUCTURE) ARCHITECT
The Solution Architect is a leading technology expert and consultant, who uses extensive experience and expertise to define technology strategy for NEC and clients, and to create technology infrastructure designs where the customer and/or business problem is of a complexity requiring the highest level of expertise. The role has Technical Authority across NEC technology strategy and solutions for multiple clients and services. The Architect analyzes requirements in generic and/or specific contexts and translates those into effective, cost-efficient, and reusable solutions.
The role depends heavily on assessing the readiness of developing technologies and their inherent risks, selecting and integrating components of varying maturity to create solutions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial / Non-Financial
While there is no direct financial management in this role, it requires analyzing the cost-effectiveness of solutions from technology, operational, and total-cost-of-ownership perspectives, often involving several tens of millions of dollars, balancing risk with strategic benefits.
The role also demands efficient personal workload management and advising project teams on strategies, plans, and budgets.
Communications
Significant interaction with vendors, service providers, industry watchers, customers, clients (including at executive levels), internal teams across NEC, project managers, practitioners, consultants, and new business personnel.
