Summary

The Imaging Inspection Manager / Solder Paste, AOI & AXI Manager will lead our imaging inspection team, overseeing the quality and efficiency of our inspection processes. This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive technical expertise in automated inspection systems, proven managerial skills, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technicians. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Process Management: Oversee all aspects of solder paste inspection, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI) processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all equipment and processes adhere to regulatory standards, with a strong emphasis on FDA Part 21 protocols.
  • Radiation Safety: Act as a Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO), enforcing and maintaining all radiation safety protocols and ensuring the safe operation of X-ray equipment.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to improve inspection accuracy, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all inspection processes meet or exceed company and industry quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on team and process performance to senior management.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams and managing inspection processes, with a focus on solder paste inspection, AOI, and AXI.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of solder paste inspection, AOI, and AXI technologies and their applications.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of FDA Part 21 protocols.
  • Radiation Safety: Must be a Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful process improvements.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Typical Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering to effectively manage our automated inspection processes and lead a technical team.
  • Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO) certification is mandatory
