Job summary

Verdant Solar is seeking a Northern Operations maintenance intern for Aug intake in Malaysia. You will monitor solar plant performance, assist on-site with preventive maintenance, and help draft maintenance reports. The role offers exposure to end-to-end solar installation processes and operational improvements in a fast-paced team.

You will also support logistics, document handling, and safety compliance while gaining hands-on experience with field engineering tasks and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering fields.
• Own transport and willingness to travel for on-site support.
• Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of maintenance safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, great task prioritization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team.
• Able to work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• System Monitoring: Track daily solar plant performance and alarms, verify inverter statuses, and support data analysis.
• Field & Preventive Support: Assist engineers with on-site inspections, cleaning supervision, electrical checks, and PPE preparation.
• Documentation & Claims: Draft preventive maintenance reports, update logs, and compile docs/photos for insurance or warranty cases.
• Technical Connections: Assist during troubleshooting, check basic electrical/AC-DC components, and support on-site recovery for offline systems.
• Client & Logistics Coordination: Schedule maintenance appointments, handle inquiries, and coordinate with Supply Chain for parts and logistics.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and proper PPE usage across operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Support data organization and operational enhancement initiatives.
