Job summary

AimBig Employment Pty Ltd, a stable multinational focused on digitalisation, seeks a Software Test Engineer (Automation) to advance testing from manual to automated processes. You will work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues and deliver high-quality software.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of testing experience, 3+ years with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), strong API testing skills, and CI/CD exposure (Azure DevOps and Git).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/SE or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of software/web application testing experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on test automation experience using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong API testing and REST validation experience.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD, preferably with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Knowledge of test automation architecture, design principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with functional, performance, load and security testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.
• Collaborate with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Perform regression testing to ensure stability of existing software functionalities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Software Test Engineer (Automation) should have:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on test automation experience using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong experience in API testing and REST services validation.
• Experience incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps, together with Git/version control.
• Good understanding of test automation architecture, design principles and best practices.
• Hands‑on exposure to functional, performance, load and security testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating application data.
• Experience working within an Agile environment, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
