Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven QA Manager to lead and manage a team across BFSI projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of QA best practices, a strong technical foundation in testing tools and frameworks, and excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant software solutions across our financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage QA teams across manual, automation, and performance testing streams.
- Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices aligned with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Oversee test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting for projects across SDLC and STLC.
- Drive test automation initiatives and ensure scalable and maintainable automation frameworks are in place.
- Coordinate performance testing efforts, including workload modeling, bottleneck analysis, and system optimization recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, DevOps, Product, and Business to ensure test coverage and timely releases.
- Manage test environments, test data, and tool configurations (e.g., JIRA, ALM, TestRail, Jenkins, LoadRunner, JMeter, Selenium, UFT).
- Ensure the QA team follows appropriate testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and performance reviews for QA team members.
- Ensure continuous improvement in testing efficiency, defect leakage rates, and cycle times.
- Prepare QA metrics and dashboards for leadership and stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance-related testing is appropriately planned and executed in BFSI contexts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience managing manual, automation, and performance testing teams.
- Strong technical background with hands-on knowledge of tools like Selenium (Java/Python), UFT, JMeter, LoadRunner, Postman, REST Assured, and BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber).
- Solid understanding of BFSI domain, including Core Banking, Payments, Lending, or Insurance platforms.
- Experience in leading QA efforts in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments.
- Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certifications.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with compliance and regulatory testing in BFSI.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and SaaS platforms.
