Overview
We are hiring Project Managers (PM) for our project teams across multiple client sites. JurisTech Project Managers are one of the key units that steer JurisTech projects towards a resounding success. They look into the work activities to control/meet the project timeline and objectives. They monitor the work progress and drive the motivation and well-being of project team members to ensure alignment. On a day-to-day basis, they track the burndown rate of sprint execution and practice Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Meticulous and capable of understanding how software works. Proactiveness and the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders should be second nature.
- Plan well from objectives and timeline, including resource planning and daily/weekly activities of the project workforce; ensure plans are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to changes; mitigate changes, re-establish baselines, and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve gaps between client expectations and project delivery; manage scope and expectations for clients and JurisTech.
- Make wise project decisions; identify risks and issues and mitigate to minimize uncertainties; seek win-win outcomes for clients, JurisTech, and stakeholders.
- Be well versed with PM artifacts across SDLC phases and develop/craft artifacts with distinction.
- Maintain disciplined project documentation to safeguard project interests.
- Absorb and apply Agile methodologies; monitor and escalate as needed; act as Scrum Master during daily stand-ups, clear roadblocks, identify resource gaps, and propose mitigation plans when progression deviates from expectations.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology, Science and Technology, or equivalent.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience in project management is highly preferred.
- Required language(s): English (excellent communication and writing skills).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage both client and project team expectations.
- Experience managing project teams with subordinates.
- Preferably with experience delivering large-scale software projects in banking, insurance, or telecommunications.
- Preferably with basic credit/banking domain knowledge (banking operations, regulations, customer needs, and financial concepts) relevant to software development.
- Willingness to learn aspects of the software solution from functional to technical.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Scrum Master, Agile, PRINCE2) considered favourable.
- Disciplined approach to project documentation and record-keeping.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) to organize tasks and workforce.
- Willingness to work at Bangsar South area and/or travel to project sites as required.
- Be aware of and avoid sharing bank or credit card details when applying; report suspicious job ads if encountered.
