Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a capable mobile software developer to build web and mobile solutions following technical designs. You will craft iOS and Android apps, write unit tests, and create reusable components to support multiple projects.

You will coordinate with IT staff to utilize shared services and ensure best practices across the development lifecycle, including documentation and testing.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• Experience developing apps for internal or consumer use on popular stores.
• Proven mobile app design, delivery and maintenance experience.
• Proficient with Objective-C/Swift, Xcode, Android Studio and RESTful services.
• Knowledge of mobile architectures and design patterns.
• Experience deploying apps to App Store and Google Play.
• Experience with Web Services and JSON/XML.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the technical build of web/mobile solutions for our customer base

Build web or iOS and Android apps according to technical design specifications

Design, configure and implement software systems

Write unit tests for new and existing code

Design and build modular components to promote reuse

Will conceptualize, design, build, and deploy small projects, plus contribute in multiple facets to multiple projects

Ensure that shared services are utilized, development standards are being adhered to and best practices are followed

Design/develop reusable frameworks, components, and services

Develops application system specifications, develops, tests and implements effective, cost efficient application solutions

Coordination with other IT staff to leverage shared services

Generation of appropriate documentation: project plans, requirements and design documents, use cases, storyboards

Desired skills and experience

Possess a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Degree or higher, in Computer Science/Information Technology or in related field.

Application development experience with either internal corporate apps or external consumer apps available to the popular app stores

Demonstrated progressive experience successfully designing, delivering and maintaining mobile apps

Must have demonstrated competency / expertise in Objective-C / Swift, Xcode, Android Development Studio, and/or RESTful web service (producer and consumer)

Knowledge of mobile technologies and architectures

Ability to identify and resolve application defects

Working knowledge of Industry standard application design patterns

Proven track record for deploying apps to app stores and google play

Experience developing Web Services (ex. RESTful or SOAP) and experience utilizing JSON / XML
