Job summary

EF Software Pte. Ltd. in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a mobile application developer with 1–2 years’ experience in React Native (Expo).

You will design, develop, test, and deploy mobile apps for iOS and Android, while maintaining existing applications and producing technical documentation. The role requires hands-on experience with Expo SDK, Expo Router, EAS Build, and integration with third-party libraries (Axios, AsyncStorage, Expo SQLite, React Native Maps, Push Notifications).

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• At least 1–2 years' experience in mobile application development using React Native (Expo).
• Hands-on experience with Expo SDK, Expo Router, and EAS Build.
• Experienced in integration with 3rd party libraries / frameworks / SDKs — Axios, AsyncStorage, Expo SQLite, React Native Maps, and Push Notifications.
• Proficient in consuming REST-based APIs using JSON.
• Experienced in state management using Jotai and React Context API.
• Familiar with manually publishing and releasing apps to Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Excellent written and spoken English is highly regarded.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms
• Maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, and provide ongoing support for existing mobile applications
• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and system specifications
• Ensure high-quality software delivery by adhering to coding standards, conducting testing, and meeting project timelines
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations on mobile application architecture, frameworks, integrations, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and backend developers, to deliver effective solutions
• Identify, analyze, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
• Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies, development tools, and industry trends to continuously improve application quality and user experience
• Comply with the organization's information security policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring that security requirements are incorporated throughout the software development lifecycle
