Job summary

Avanade Malaysia is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship provides hands-on experience across design, development, testing, and maintenance of modern enterprise applications while learning from experienced engineers.

You will contribute to projects using current frameworks, cloud technologies, and AI-powered solutions, gaining exposure to SDLC, RESTful APIs, DevOps practices, and collaborative cross-functional teamwork in a corporate setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in CS, SE, IT or related field.
• Fundamental OO programming concepts and software engineering principles.
• Familiar with C#, Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of web technologies and SQL databases.
• Willing to learn cloud technologies and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise web/mobile/backend apps.
• Learn the SDLC from requirements to production support.
• Explore AI-driven development practices and AI coding assistants.
• Develop features using modern languages, frameworks, and cloud tech.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Work on RESTful APIs and integration with enterprise services.
• Support database development with SQL queries and data modelling.
