Job summary

FINEXUS Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of the SWITCH platform, ensuring high performance and secure transaction processing for our card, ATM, and EDC services.

The role focuses on C programming, TCP/IP socket programming, and ISO 8583 standards, with opportunities to learn additional languages and collaborate across teams on design, development and delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
Focus on software development, programming, or system design subjects.
Academic subjects must have grade A / 3.0 and above.

Responsibilities

Develop, debug, and optimize C code for SWITCH modules.
Contribute to unit testing and integration testing efforts.
Collaborate with team members on design, development, and troubleshooting.
Document code, processes, and development activities clearly.
Keep up-to-date with C programming trends and emerging technologies.
Adapt to additional programming languages (e.g. Shell scripting, Java) as required.
Use version control and project management tools such as Bitbucket and Atlassian JIRA.
Support code automation and testing initiatives where applicable.
