Job summary

Experian Asia Pacific in Cyberjaya is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our hybrid team. You will develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions, collaborating with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications.

The role emphasizes strong programming, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with interest in Agile, automation, testing, and DevOps practices. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with Java development, enterprise applications, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
• Understanding of software design, architecture, design patterns, and code quality practices.
• Exposure to Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, container technologies, and Linux environments.
• Hybrid position attendance 2-3 days per week, with remote on other days.

Responsibilities

• Participate in backlog refinement sessions, design discussions, and technical planning activities with the team.
• Translate functional requirements into clear, scalable, and maintainable technical designs.
• Develop high‑quality and reliable code that meets agreed timelines and engineering standards.
• Design and implement automated tests across multiple levels, ensuring product quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze causes, and enhance code quality through best practices.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes, creating repeatable, and efficient deployment practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
