Job summary

Orangeleaf Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing team delivering enterprise applications on Mendix Low-Code Platform. You will work on-site at client offices with opportunities for international travel.

You will receive training to upgrade coding skills to low-code, with clear paths toward consultancy and management roles. The role emphasizes fast delivery and strong client collaboration using modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of software development experience.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with Scrum or Agile development methods.
• Interest in working with low-code technology (training provided).
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

• Independent and punctual for appointments.

Orangeleaf Consulting is hiring Software Engineers that are looking for a challenge and like working with the latest cutting-edge technology.

We develop complex enterprise applications at lightning speed without writing code, utilizing the Mendix Low-Code Platform by Siemens. We support enterprises in Southeast Asia in realizing their digital innovation goals by developing systems 10x faster than with traditional tools.

Mendix is the global market leader in the low-code market, which has quickly spread through Europe and the US and Asia and is in the process of being adopted by the majority of businesses worldwide. Gartner estimates that by 2025, 70% of new applications developed by enterprises will use no-code or low-code technologies.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing innovative systems that help our customers compete on the global market using Mendix. You will receive training to upgrade your skills from traditional coding to low-code. Growth opportunities include paths towards consultancy and management positions. Projects are generally executed on-site at clients offices and international travel will be required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform to craft innovative applications tailored to client needs.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Define comprehensive functional and technical software requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with project objectives.
• Conduct rigorous testing and provide ongoing maintenance for applications to uphold performance and reliability standards.
• Cultivate deep insights into clients' businesses and industries, leveraging this understanding to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Foster strong client relationships through clear and effective communication, collaborating closely with both clients and superiors to achieve project success.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development and propose innovative solutions to improve our products and processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably in Software Engineering or Business IT management
• Between 1 to 5 years of experience in software development
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experiencewith Scrum or Agile development methods
• Interested in working with low-code technology (Trainings will be provided.)
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Independent and punctual for any appointments
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge in React Native
• Knowledge in Mendix platform
