You’ll work closely with the ICT Manager and cross-functional teams to build and support in-house applications, ensure smooth system operations, drive continuous improvements in system performance, functionality, and security.

Overview

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain in-house automated systems and reporting tools, including troubleshooting system issues
• Monitor and ensure uptime and reliability of in-house applications and MS SQL database servers
• Perform administration and maintenance of the MS SQL database to ensure performance and data integrity
• Develop and support analytical reports with accurate and timely data delivery
• Provide support for third-party software applications and ensure seamless system integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Provide end-user support and training on software and hardware-related matters
• Implement cybersecurity best practices in line with Group IT standards (CIS CSC / ISO 27001)
• Assist the ICT Manager in enforcing IT governance and information security policies
• Stay updated on technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology / Systems, Software Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
• Proficient in VB.Net or C# and MS SQL (2000 or above)
• Knowledge of mobile app development (iOS/Android)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP knowledge is an added advantage
• Familiar with Windows Server (2000 or newer)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, and quick to learn new technologies
• Understanding of IT governance and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001)
