Job summary

Clover Technology Sdn Bhd in Kuching, Sarawak, is seeking a Software Engineer to own features end to end across the front end and back end of our web and mobile applications built for clients. You will work in an AI-assisted development environment with a knowledge base built from project history.

You will join a team that values collaboration across QA, DevOps and project coordination, delivering production‑quality features and reducing tech debt.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) and Mandarin (spoken).

Responsibilities

• Deliver features and integrations end to end with minimal supervision, at production quality
• Break work down and estimate it in sprint planning and the weekly dev meeting
• Review code and guide one or two developers through their tasks
• Align with QA, DevOps and Project Coordinators so features ship cleanly
• Run production deployments for small and medium features, with a rollback plan and post-release checks
• Reduce tech debt and improve internal tooling as you go
• Raise the quality of your designs, code and reviews with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, and help the team do the same

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our IT Center team in Kuching, Sarawak. You will own features end to end across the front end and back end of the web and mobile applications we build for our clients, and help the developers around you grow.We work with AI-assisted development workflows and an AI knowledge base built on our project history, so you spend more time on real engineering.This opening is for developers with at least one year of professional experience. Role level and salary are set based on your experience and assessment. If you are a fresh graduate, apply to our Software Developer opening instead.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience
• Comfortable on both the front end and the back end, even if you are stronger on one
• Working knowledge of at least one major framework such as Laravel, React, Vue, Angular, FastAPI or Flutter
• Familiarity with Git, code review and the software development lifecycle
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) and Mandarin (spoken)
• Experience using AI tools in development, with the judgement to know when their output is wrong

How you’ll grow

Our engineering ladder runs from Software Developer to Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer and Engineering Lead, with three grades at each level. Promotion is based on your monthly KPI results over time, usually after at least a year in your grade.
