Qualifications

• Excellent English proficiency for written and spoken communication in a hybrid, cross-border team.
• Strong fundamentals in programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Practical experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Genuine growth mindset and curiosity toward Flutter, Python, and AI-assisted development.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid setup with in-office days in Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and polish high-quality cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter with strong UI and state management.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI or Django.
• Leverage Claude and AI tools to boost architecture ideation, boilerplate generation, debugging, and learning speed.
• Own features end-to-end, plan, write clean testable code, test thoroughly, and ship updates in sprints.
• Collaborate with designers, senior engineers, and product teams in Johor Bahru and remotely with excellent English.
• Continuously learn, propose improvements, and evolve the tech stack as the project grows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and polish high-quality cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter — from beautiful UIs and smooth animations to robust state management and API integrations.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, data pipelines, and automation scripts using Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI, Django, etc.).
• Make Claude (and similar AI coding tools) your daily superpower — use it to ideate architectures, generate boilerplate, debug complex issues, refactor, and dramatically increase your output and learning speed.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end: participate in planning, write clean testable code, perform thorough testing, and ship reliable updates in agile sprints.
• Collaborate closely with designers, senior engineers, and product teammates — both in our Johor Bahru office and remotely — while maintaining excellent English communication.
• Continuously learn and experiment. Propose improvements, explore new libraries/tools, and help evolve our tech stack as the project grows.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated ability through strong personal projects, bootcamps, or self-taught portfolio.
• 0–2 years of professional development experience (internships, freelance gigs, or substantial academic/personal projects count).
• Excellent English proficiency — clear, confident written and spoken communication is essential for our collaborative, hybrid, cross-border team environment.
• Strong foundational knowledge of programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented principles.
• Practical experience with Git and GitHub for version control, code reviews, and team collaboration.
• Genuine growth mindset and curiosity — eager to dive deep into Flutter, Python, and AI-assisted development.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid setup: productive when working remotely and engaged during in-office collaboration days in Johor Bahru.

PREFERRED SUPERPOWERS

• Hands-on Flutter experience — building production-ready apps with state management (Riverpod, Bloc, Provider), custom widgets, navigation, local storage, and third-party integrations.
• Solid Python development skills — web APIs (FastAPI/Flask), data processing, backend logic, testing with pytest, or automation.
• Real-world experience using Claude (Anthropic), Cursor, or similar LLM coding assistants as an active pair-programming partner. Bonus points for sharing specific examples of prompts and outcomes!
• Understanding of mobile app lifecycle: app store submission, performance profiling, offline-first patterns, push notifications, or Firebase/Supabase.
