Job summary

F-Secure is seeking a Software Engineer to join a focused engineering team in the Direct Business unit. You’ll build features across Django backend and Vue/React frontends, from day one contributing and over time owning domains including APIs, data models, and admin tooling.

You’ll need 2–4 years of professional software experience, strong Python and JS framework skills, and a demonstrated ability to own issues through production.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid with Python (Django or similar) and a modern JS/TS framework (Vue or React).
• Comfortable working with REST APIs, relational databases, and git workflows in a security-conscious environment.
• A track record of owning issues through to production resolution.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Own a feature area end-to-end — API design, data model changes, admin tooling.
• Review pull requests and give real, constructive feedback.
• Debug production issues and add the logging needed to catch them early.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join a small, focused engineering team within our Direct Business unit, responsible for the subscription engine that powers F-Secure's consumer business. You'll build and own features end-to-end across our Django backend and Vue/React frontends, from day one you'll be contributing, and over time you'll grow into owning entire feature domains, including API design, data models, and admin tooling.

We're after someone who picks things up fast, uses AI naturally as a force multiplier in their workflow, and genuinely cares about getting things right.

We work in a hybrid model based in our office in Eco City, Kuala Lumpur.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and ship features across the backend (Django) and frontend (Vue, React)
• Own a feature area end-to-end — API design, data model changes, admin tooling
• Review pull requests and give real, constructive feedback
• Debug production issues and add the logging needed to catch them early

What are we looking for?

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid with Python (Django or similar) and a modern JS/TS framework (Vue or React)
• Comfortable working with REST APIs, relational databases, and git workflows in a security-conscious environment
• A track record of owning issues through to production resolution
• Experience working with GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI-assisted development tools
• Full professional proficiency in English

You get bonus points for:

• AWS experience (Lambda, CloudFront, S3, Secrets Manager)
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or similar)
• QA experience, including setting up test cases and automation
