Job description

This = the job you are looking for:

  • Job is fully based in IPOH.
  • Lead, build, maintain, inspire, and develop multiple multidisciplinary software development teams.
  • Deliver solutions according to the innovation roadmap with the team(s) and in collaboration with product and marketing managers.
  • Ensure that all software quality issues related to development, integration, testing, and performance of applications are managed and act as a point of escalation in related fields.
  • Initiate and implement effective software development methodologies and processes.
  • Drive innovation on both technical and functional levels.
  • Ensure software is developed according to standards and recommended designs.
  • Participate in formulating the short- and long-term technical vision and direction of the company.
  • Execute the technology strategy in specific areas or products to support the business and technology strategy.
  • Cover a specific technical domain as the key responsibility.
  • Engage with team members daily: managing attendance and absenteeism, conducting team meetings and communications, overseeing leave management, and approving expense claims.
  • Manage performance: setting team objectives and reviews, conducting regular check-ins and feedback dialogues, holding formal performance discussions, handling PIP, and conducting salary reviews.
  • Oversee learning and development: identifying learning needs and creating learning plans, conducting career aspiration dialogues, and supporting personal development.
  • Manage talent acquisition: handling vacancy requests, participating in the recruitment process and decision-making on offers, and overseeing pre-boarding/on-boarding and exit processes.

This = what you bring:

Experience: Minimum of 10 years in .NET development.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in web development using C# or VB.Net, .NET or .NET framework, JavaScript (native and/or frameworks), MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and performing code reviews.
  • Solid understanding of clean code principles and SOLID design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, with performance tuning experience being a plus.
  • Experience with web service APIs such as REST and WCF/SOAP.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including source control and CI/CD pipelines.

Methodologies:

  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile product development methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Proactive and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to create and foster a team environment that encourages initiative, creativity, people development and achievement of goals.
