Job summary

Wonderspire Group Berhad is seeking a Software Development Associate in Malaysia to gain hands-on experience building and improving real digital products. You will work with our academic and technology teams to support development, testing, integration, and enhancement of web and mobile applications during September 2026 placement.

This entry-level role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking practical exposure to APIs, databases, cloud technologies, AI-assisted development, and product delivery

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS/SE/IT/CE or related field.
• Basic programming knowledge.
• Understand variables, functions, APIs, databases and software logic.
• Able to analyse problems and work through solutions.
• Willing to learn new frameworks, technologies and tools.
• Comfortable using AI tools to assist research, debugging and development.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Placement is in September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving web and mobile app features.
• Support frontend and backend development activities.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Assist with API development and third-party integrations.
• Support database configuration and data handling.
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs, technical issues, and performance problems.
• Participate in software testing, debugging, and quality assurance.
• Explore UI/UX design to translate designs into functional interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, design, content, and technology teams.
• Maintain basic technical documentation for developed features.

About the role

Wonderspire is looking for a Software Development Associate who wants hands-on experience building and improving real digital products.

You will work closely with our academic and technology team to support the development, testing, integration, and improvement of web and mobile applications.

This role is suitable for fresh graduates/junior developer who want to move beyond academic projects and gain practical exposure to software development, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, AI-assisted development, and product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving web and mobile application features
• Support frontend and backend development activities
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code
• Assist with API development and third-party service integrations
• Support database configuration, data handling, and application logic
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs, technical issues, and performance problems
• Participate in software testing, debugging, and quality assurance
• Explore UI/UX design to translate designs into functional interfaces
• Collaborate with product, design, content, and technology teams

About you

• Have a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Have basic programming knowledge
• Understand fundamental concepts such as variables, functions, APIs, databases and software logic
• Can analyse problems and work through solutions systematically
• Are willing to learn new frameworks, technologies and development tools
• Are comfortable using AI tools to assist research, debugging and development
• Can work independently while collaborating with a team
• Are responsible and able to complete tasks according to agreed timelines
• Currently not working as the placement will be in September 2026.
