Job summary

Harbour-Link Group Berhad is seeking a junior software developer in Malaysia to assist with gathering and documenting user requirements, analyze project objectives, and discuss system design options with the Senior Programmer. You will translate requirements into code and participate in multi-level testing to ensure systems meet expectations.

In this role you will prepare documentation, maintain delivered systems, and troubleshoot issues, contributing to the reliability and ongoing improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification in system development.
• At least one year working experience in programming field.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering and documentation of user requirements.
• Assist with analysis of project/user requirements to identify system objectives.
• Discuss system design options and specifics with Senior Programmer.
• Propose solutions from a systems standpoint to address process and user issues.
• Prepare necessary documentation to document user requirements, issues, proposed and agreed solutions, system models and design parameters.
• Translate requirements into computer program code.
• Carry out multi-level testing to ensure that systems perform according to requirements.
• Prepare and compile documentation on testing work as required.
• Maintain systems produced in terms of functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair reported systems issues and propose and/or carry out corrections.
