Job summary

Novonesis seeks a Software Developer focused on frontend development to build responsive web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js. You will collaborate with teammates in Malaysia and Denmark across the full software lifecycle.

You’ll design reusable UI components, integrate with REST APIs, and contribute to design decisions, testing, deployment, and production support in a hybrid, location-based role in Kelana Jaya.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Professional experience building modern web apps using React, TypeScript and JavaScript with strong frontend focus.
• Good working experience with Next.js.
• Experience with frontend architecture, reusable components, responsive UI, and API integration.
• Experience in professional software development with source control, code reviews and mature practices.
• Strong written and spoken English for international collaboration.
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving and willingness to learn and contribute across stack.

The role & your impact

As a Software Developer, you will strengthen our frontend development capability and help deliver practical digital solutions for business and laboratory users. Your primary focus will be frontend development, with opportunities to contribute to technical design, backend development, integrations, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

You will work independently on frontend development while collaborating closely with software developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other technical teams across locations

Your key responsibilities in this role

• Develop and maintain modern web applications, with a strong focus on frontend development using React, TypeScript.
• Design reusable, maintainable, responsive, and user-friendly UI components.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver practical software solutions.
• Contribute to software quality through code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Participate across the software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript and JavaScript, with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Good working experience with Next.js.
• Experience with modern frontend architecture, reusable components, responsive UI development, and API integration.
• Experience working in a professional software development team using source control, code reviews, and established development practices.
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international working environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a pragmatic and quality-minded approach.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and contribute beyond your primary area of expertise

• Backend development using .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, or Entity Framework.
