Job summary

Rapsys Technologies Pte Ltd. is seeking a Software Application Development Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to lead development, implementation, and support of EAI applications. The role emphasizes hands-on ANSI C and Korn Shell programming along with strong SDLC understanding, with exposure to Oracle Tuxedo and IBM MQ Series beneficial.

The position requires 5+ years of hands-on experience and familiarity with Node.js, MySQL, Docker, VMware, and JSON, in a work-from-office setting in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on ANSI C and Unix Korn Shell programming.
• Experience with the Solaris operating system is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and change management tools such as Aldon, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of Oracle Tuxedo and IBM MQ Series will be a strong advantage.
• Experience with Node.js, MySQL, Docker, VMware, and JSON is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation in accordance with the bank’s SDLC processes.
• Participate in application design and development. Perform unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT).
• Provide production and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
• Manage system infrastructure setup, application deployment, and automation.
• Plan, prepare, and execute system rollouts and implementations.
• Ensure smooth application operations and provide ongoing technical support.

We are looking for a skilled Software Application Development Engineer to manage the development, implementation, and support of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in ANSI C and Unix Korn Shell programming, along with a good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
