Job summary

Hong Leong Bank seeks a SOC Manager/Lead to direct daily security operations, supervise an internal L2 team, and coordinate with the MSSP for 24/7 monitoring. The role focuses on detection engineering, operational visibility, and rapid containment during cyber incidents.

You will own wallboards, dashboards, and key metrics while ensuring SLA adherence and incident response support across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in banking/fintech or regulated financial enterprise with incident escalation
• 3+ years leading security analysts/engineers
• Hands-on experience building real-time SOC dashboards and wallboards
• Experience managing external Tier 1 MSSP SLAs and alert tuning
• Experience coordinating Tier 2 triage with incident responders
• CISSP or GIAC certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations, triage, and detection engineering for the SOC.
• Direct a Tier 2 analyst and detection engineers and supervise MSSP Tier 1 monitoring.
• Maintain SOC wallboard dashboards, telemetry, and operational metrics in real time.
• Oversee containment actions during active intrusions and coordinate with incident responders.
• Govern playbooks for banking-specific threat vectors and test them regularly.
• Drive quarterly reviews with MSSP to assess detection efficacy against evolving threats.
