Job description

SMT Production Supervisor - Based in Perai, AM PM Shift (Basic + Allowance + OT)

Our client, a China-based MNC specializing in high-quality SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) solutions, is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team in Seberang Perai.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the shift team to meet production targets effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare and ensure timely completion of all shift-end reports.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Serve as the Emergency Response Team (ERT) lead during assigned shifts.
• Develop and implement training plans for shift operators based on production requirements.
• Ensure smooth production operations by coordinating necessary resources and escalating issues promptly when needed.
• Facilitate clear and accurate handover communication between shifts.
• Provide counseling and guidance to operators as necessary.
• Report any violations of company rules or procedures during the shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to achieve production goals.
• Evaluate production stations to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
• Maintain effective communication between employees and senior management to ensure clear understanding of procedures and policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or higher preferred. SPM holders with over 5 years of experience in an SMT Production Supervisor role will also be considered.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for report preparation and presentations.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
