Job summary

Techman Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled SMT Manufacturing Engineer (ME/EE) to join our engineering team. Based in Simpang Ampat, Penang, the role focuses on optimiser production processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

The candidate bridges mechanical and electrical engineering, with 3–5 years in SMT or electronics manufacturing, strong IPC knowledge, MES familiarity, and a drive for manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• Experience in SMT manufacturing and electronics assembly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes and QA methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise SMT assembly processes including stencil printing, placement, reflow and AOI.
• Develop and implement process improvements to improve yield, efficiency and quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and provide DFM feedback.
• Manage SMT equipment and maintain process documentation and instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime and support operators.
