Job summary

Jabil Malaysia in Kedah is seeking an SMT Technician to support automated assembly lines at our Sungai Petani site. You will maintain and optimize machine programs, perform routine maintenance, and assist line operators to improve efficiency and product quality.

You will work with manufacturing engineers to analyze line performance, implement fixes, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Diploma in engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Engineering required or two years related training/experience.
Strong ability to maintain and develop machine programs, PD files and machine set-ups.
Experience in monitoring line performance and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

Maintain and develop machine programs, part definition files and machine set-ups.
Optimize machine programs and set-ups to meet or exceed theoretical run-rate.
Observe line performance and determine steps to achieve maximum efficiency and product quality.
Monitor defect analysis sheets and feeder data for process improvements.
Perform preventative maintenance of SMT equipment on assigned line(s).
Assist operators and provide ongoing training to improve line efficiency.
Coordinate with Supervisors and Engineers to determine corrective actions and ensure high performance.
