Job summary

A leading Electronics Manufacturing Services provider in Malaysia seeks a Surface Mount Technology Engineer to manage installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SMT equipment at customer sites. The role requires strong technical expertise, a diploma in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical, and good communication skills. You will also provide support and training to customers while performing preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Service Experience in Electronics Industries.
• Strong communication skills and technical expertise required.
• Experience with SMT Process & Application is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Setup, installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of SMT equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.

Job description

• Responsible for setup, installation, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and providing application support on Equipment at customers’ site
• Provide technical support & after sales service to customers
• Provide on-site programming and convert the raw data from customers useful to smt data to smt machines.
• Actively involved in the new equipment hardware and setup on new machine purchases by customer.
• Drive analysis at equipment, hardware and preventive maintenance and repair data
• Responsible to carry out the maintenance periodically update On programmimg computers tools.
• Involve in setting production line, performed preventive maintenance job, programming and trouble shooting of SMT equipment.
• Involve in general technical work on production, maintenance of machinery tools and equipment, process and mechanical assembly.
• Troubleshoot and repair of equipment in the case of breakdown.
• Buy off all kind of activity of SMT process for every New model, New setup and Engineering changes.
• Additional AOI, SPI will be advantage.
• knowledge on cad coordinate convertion from other customer to machine cad cordinate.
• Follow up closely test evaluation and control run.
• Inform and feedback problems occurred.
• Troubleshoot problem and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production line efficiency and performance.
• Consolidate and analysis daily and weekly report.

Requirements :

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical.
• Min 1 year Service Experience in Electronics Industries
• With SMT Process & Application knowledge will be added advantage
• Related knowledge & experience in SMT Electronic Industries for SMT Equipment, Reflow, Wave Soldering, Selective etc.
• Possesses strong communication skill, organization, technical expertise
• Progarmmimg Problem solving abilities
• Willing to travel locally/overseas
• Provide on-site training to customers, 24/7 on call to support customers issue on site.
• Hardworking and Independent with the highest integrity.& encounterblity
