Job summary

A technology manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified individual to provide manufacturing technical support and lead process improvements for SMT operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and expertise with SMT equipment and processes. Willingness to travel for work is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to optimize and enhance process parameters and manufacturing capabilities.

• Lead and coordinate quality issue analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in managing process-related parameters and standards.
• Monitor and audit Contract Manufacturer process control and implement improvements.

Job description

Provide manufacturing technical support to the contract manufacturer.

Provide the SMT production technical support at client side.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CM analysis of quality issues; propose corrective actions and follow up on implementation.
• Participate in definition and management of process‑related parameters and standards.
• Monitor and audit the Contract Manufacturer process control, record nonconformities, review corrective action and track implementation action to confirm final effectiveness.
• Lead Contract Manufacturer process improvements and implement quality enhancement measures and confirm result.
• Collaborate with NPI engineers in completing DFM evaluation for new projects.
• Research, validate and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SMT equipment and processes.
• Familiar with mainstream SMT equipment and process parameters including Screen Printer (DEK, MPM, GKG), Pick and Place Machine (Siemens, Panasonic, Fuji) and Reflow Ovens (ERSA, BTU).
• Ability to optimize and enhance process parameters and manufacturing capabilities.
• Proficiency in SPI and AOI equipment, including relevant inspection standards and methodologies.
• Willingness to travel for work assignments.
