Job summary

Bosch is seeking a Software Development professional in Malaysia to design, build, and maintain industrial software supporting manufacturing operations. You will work on web apps, APIs, and data pipelines, and collaborate across systems including MES and ERP.

The role emphasizes data analytics, dashboard development with Power BI/Tableau, and continuous improvement. Leadership experience is valued and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience including at least 1 year in leadership and project management.
• Preferably candidates with hands-on SMT experience (equipment & processes).
• Strong team player with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, JavaScript and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain industrial software applications supporting manufacturing operations.
• Develop web applications, APIs, backend services, and database solutions using approved development platforms and technologies.

System Integration

• Develop and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems, equipment, databases, MES, ERP, and enterprise applications.
• Design and implement secure data exchange mechanisms and APIs to support business process automation.

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Build and maintain manufacturing data pipelines, datasets, and reporting solutions.
• Develop dashboards and data visualization applications to support operational monitoring and decision making.
• Support data collection, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities.

Application Support

• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for software-related issues.
• Monitor application health, performance, and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation, source code repositories, and deployment procedures.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes through software and data solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency and manufacturing digitalization capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with software development standards, cybersecurity requirements, and digital governance policies.
