Job summary

Intlife invites an Engineering Intern to join our lab team in Kuala Lumpur to pre-stage and test smart home hardware before field deployment. You will gain hands-on exposure to Z-Wave, Zigbee, and networking while preparing installation-ready kits.

You will document processes, create guides for installers, and support engineers with troubleshooting in a fast-growing IoT/AI environment. This role helps develop practical skills in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a diploma or degree in a relevant engineering or IT field.
• Interest in hands-on hardware testing and IoT device setups.
• Able to follow structured technical workflows with good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Device Pre-Configuration & Staging: unbox, flash firmware, pair and configure Z-Wave hubs and devices per project needs.
• Bench Testing & QA: perform quality checks and identify DOA units, resolve pairing/protocol issues before dispatch.
• Kit Assembly & Material Logistics: prepare installation kits, map device topologies, manage lab staging and transport.
• Documentation & Educational Content: maintain records and create guides/videos for installers and homeowners.
• General Engineering Support: assist with ad-hoc technical tasks and troubleshooting as needed.
