Job summary

The candidate will handle routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, while keeping accurate maintenance records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an advantage.
• Able to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment-related problems.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Conduct regular checks to identify potential equipment failures and safety issues.
• Carry out servicing, adjustment, replacement, and repair of machine components.
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment as required.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair where applicable.
• Assist with machine installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, and spare-parts usage.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain stock of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Work with Production and Engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a tidy workshop.
