Job summary
A construction firm in Selangor is seeking an experienced Site Surveyor. The role includes coordinating with licensed surveyors, overseeing construction site activities, and ensuring compliance with drawings. Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, have 3-5 years of surveying experience and strong knowledge of construction processes. Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics/Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in site surveying, preferably with exposure to high-rise residential projects
- Experience in both surveying works and site supervision/coordination
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, site setting-out, alignment, and level control
- Familiar with structural, architectural, and finishing works for high-rise buildings
- Ability to verify subcontractors’ works, ensure dimensional accuracy, and maintain survey records
- Hands-on site supervision experience, able to coordinate and monitor subcontractors’ daily work
- Computer literacy (MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD or surveying software is an added advantage)
Responsibilities
- To liaise and coordinate with licensed surveyor for any surveying works prior to work execution.
- To study the setting out plan regularly and submit RFI for discrepancy and missing information found.
- To cross check and coordinate the architectural, structural and M&E drawings on the setting out.
- To establish TBM’s and ensure provision of control points and reference marks.
- To cross check the spot level on existing ground and every floor cast.
- To carry out level and alignment surveys.
- To manage and file all survey records and prepare as-built drawing when necessary.
- To be responsible for all survey equipment provided at site inclusive of maintenance, calibration and safe-keeping.
- To supervise, control and coordinate the activities of workers engaged at construction site by ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance to drawings and specifications.
- To monitor, keep record and report on progress of work daily to immediate superior.
- To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
