- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, including subcontractor and trade coordination, ensuring alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and engineering specifications.
- Monitoring progress and quality of work to identify and resolve any site issues or delays that may impact the project schedule, escalate to project/site manager when necessary.
- Track and prepare daily reports on work progress and manpower efficiency.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed records, reports, and documentation related to construction activities, site inspections, and work progress.
- Assist the project manager in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports, updating construction work progress including site photos, manpower loading and site inspections.
- Provide regular updates on task status during daily meeting to Project/Construction manager.
- Conduct site inspection and verify on-site work to ensure all works are carried out including quality in accordance to the drawings and engineering specifications.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures in compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Liaise with client, consultants, subcontractors, supplier or its related parties on technical and contractual obligations to achieve a smooth and efficient implementation of the project. Ensure that all work complies with industry regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Address unforeseen site challenges, implementing corrective actions in coordination with the project team.
- Verify and monitor installation works to ensure accuracy in contractor claims and progress billing.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support overall project objectives.
Job Requirements:
- At least Diploma or relevant cert in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Construction or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of on-site construction supervision experience. Experienced in construction for high rise commercial/residential project is a plus.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Familiarity with AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings/specifications and manage site operations independently
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of workers and subcontractors.
- Well versed with construction sequence and ensures that works at site are completed within the stipulated timeline.
- Good problem-solving skills and drawings knowledge, with the ability to quickly resolve issues that arise during construction.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project records.
- A team player with a positive working attitude, ability to work effectively in a project-based environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Be willing to travel to project sites across Sarawak.
- Availability: Immediately available to commence work at the Miri job site.
