Qualifications

Job description

Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and timelines.

Coordinate and manage site workers, subcontractors, and material deliveries.

Conduct toolbox meetings and daily briefings.

Responsible to enforce implementation of material acceptance, storage, preservation and control of non-conforming product procedures for the assigned section/s of the Works.

2. Quality Control:

Inspect work to ensure workmanship and materials meet required standards.

Report any defects, non-conformance, or quality issues to the project engineer or manager.

Responsible to ensure inspection and test plans are carried out in accordance with the Contract for the assigned section/s of the Works.

3. Progress Monitoring:

Track and report daily progress and issues to the project team.

Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met.

4. Safety Compliance:

Enforce site safety procedures and ensure all workers follow safety protocols.

Report any accidents, near misses, or safety violations immediately.

5. Site Coordination and Documentation:

Liaise with engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of works.

Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.

Maintain daily site reports, manpower logs, equipment usage, and weather conditions.

Assist in documenting work done for claims and certifications.

Assist the Project Manager in timely compilation, review and finalization of supporting site submissions (e.g., work schedule, Method Statement, material samples for approval, calibration certificates, shop drawing, etc).

Requirements:

Education: Certificate or Diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (based on project type) or equivalent working experience.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably in earth works, building construction, infrastructure, M&E, etc.

Added advantage: experience in landfill cell construction and / or liner work.

Skills:

Strong practical knowledge of construction processes and materials.

Good leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, Word) for reporting.
