Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor to support the Site Engineer and Project Manager in the daily execution of construction activities. The role involves supervising workers and subcontractors, coordinating site resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and work methods.

• Coordinate workers, subcontractors, materials, machinery, and equipment.

• Monitor site progress and provide daily updates to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.

• Identify and elevate site, technical, manpower, material, and schedule issues.

• Monitor workmanship and support inspections, testing, and defect rectification.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, PPE, and approved work procedures.

• Participate in toolbox meetings and manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements where applicable.

• Maintain good housekeeping and proper site organization.

• Coordinate work sequencing between subcontractors and different trades.

• Maintain records of manpower, work progress, materials, equipment, and site activities.

• Communicate work instructions and requirements clearly to workers and subcontractors.

• Support project inspections, handover, close-out, and other duties as required.

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec, Higher Nitec, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or related discipline is preferred.

• Relevant experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.

• Hands-on experience managing workers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.

• Good understanding of construction methods and site operations.

• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and construction practices.

• Experience with PTW processes is an advantage.

• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Able to work independently, under pressure, and in a hands-on site environment.

Role Summary

• The Site Supervisor will ensure smooth day-to-day site operations by coordinating manpower and resources, monitoring progress and quality, maintaining safety standards, and promptly addressing site issues in collaboration with the Site Engineer and Project Manager
