Job description

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESULT AREA

1. Supervising workers, subcontractors and work activities.
2. Responsible for organizing construction works on site, and report to upper management.
3. Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
4. Assessing and managing safety hazards.
5. Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.
6. Carrying out regular inspections.
7. Helping project managers to plan the work programme.
8. Helping coordinate deliveries of materials, plant and equipment.
9. Completing records for site reports.
10. Attending site management meetings.
11. Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, processes and procedures.
12. Raising safety concerns at the appropriate level.
13. Resolving problems and implementing improvements.
14. Organizing and overseeing external inspections, such as with a health and safety inspector.
15. Providing emergency first aid if required.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCES

1. Relevant experience in Telecommunication Tower Civil Engineering and Tower Installation.
2. A positive attitude.
3. The ability to communicate with, motivate, and if necessary, discipline the workforce.
4. The ability to understand drawings and other contract documents.
5. A good understanding of safety procedures.
6. First aid training.
7. The ability to mediate to resolve issues.
8. An understanding of legal responsibilities.
9. An understanding of welfare and environmental issues.
10. An understanding of occupational health and behavioural safety issues.
