Job summary

Solarvest is seeking a proactive Safety Supervisor to lead on-site health, safety, and environmental practices across our projects in Malaysia. You will develop and monitor SHE policies, conduct daily site inspections, and train staff to ensure safe work practices.

You will liaise with the Safety Officer, engineers and subcontractors, review safety documents, and maintain incident records while promoting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture at the project site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) registered with DOSH.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction or renewable energy projects; solar project experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and observation skills.
• Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the site's Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies in compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.

• Identify and mitigate potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts at the workplace.
• Liaise with the Safety Officer, O&M Manager, Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors on safety-related issues.
• Review and ensure safety compliance of work documents (MOS, HIRARC, O&M Manual, HSE Plan, etc.) before work execution.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation including reports, checklists, and records of incidents or near misses.
• Participate in emergency response and assist in incident and near-miss investigation and reporting.
• Ensure workers and visitors comply with site safety rules and use proper PPE.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement at the project site.
