Job summary

A manufacturing company in the biomass industry is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor who will ensure compliance with safety regulations at multiple sites across Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a Diploma in Safety and Health, and be registered under JKKP Malaysia. This role involves traveling around Malaysia, conducting safety inspections, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

Overview

Site Safety Supervisor (Mobile around Malaysia)

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the provisions of the Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied with and promote the safe conduct of work generally within the worksite and premise as stipulated in OSHA ACT 1994 & FMA 1967 BOWEC Reg 25.
• Inspect and rectify any unsafe acts and unsafe conditions at the construction site.
• Correct unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and unsafe practices at the site.
• Check subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations.
• Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with respect to safety of work undertaken by subcontractors.
• Conduct toolbox talks before starting any work task on site.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, weekly reports and monthly reports.
• Conduct safety and health meetings on site project if required.
• Assist review and revise any documentation related to safety and health at the site.
• Assist safety and health team on the implementation of safety and health management on site.
• Ensure all rules and regulations are complied with on site.
• Assist any matter related to occupational safety and health.
• Assist project team on site to ensure progress runs smoothly between safety/health and project.
• Assist safety and health team on manufacturing factory and premises at HQ if required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Safety and Health or related certificate and registered under JKKP Malaysia.
• At least 2 years working experience in construction as a Site Safety Supervisor.
• Ability to write work reports using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision and a high sense of responsibility.
• Shall be able to travel to job sites using own transport as required by Safety Officer and Project Manager.
• Possess accreditation OYK Site Safety Supervisor / Yellow Book and be registered by DOSH.
• Willingness to travel around Malaysia.
