Job Responsibilities:
- Perform safety inspections and audits at sites to ensure the effectiveness of the EHS system and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
- Establish and deliver EHS-related training to subcontractors performing work at assigned sites.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with EHS requirements in accordance with national (OSHA 1994 & FMA 1967) and client EHS standards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and implement risk mitigation measures as instructed by the Manager, Southern Region.
- Establish onsite emergency response and evacuation plans and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Serve as the focal person and work closely with the client/main contractor EHS officer on EHS matters at assigned sites.
- Attend site EHS meetings, briefings, or deliver presentations related to EHS as required by the client.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on activities to the Manager, EH&S.
- Liaise with authorities such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba, etc., in relation to SSS scope of work.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as preparing lifting plans.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in the lift and escalator industry or construction field.
- Valid Yellow Book registration as a Site Safety Supervisor with DOSH.
- Strong understanding of OSHA 1994, OSHWA, and DOSH regulations.
- Experience working on construction sites, lifts, and high-risk environments.
Education:
- At least SPM or a Certificate in OSH or related field.
