Job summary

A leading company in affordable housing development is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards at project sites in Johor. The role involves conducting inspections, assisting the Project Manager, and ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols. Candidates must hold a diploma in a relevant field and possess the Yellow Book certification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in safety management.
• Mandatory possession of Yellow Book certification.
• Willingness to work at project sites in Johor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety requirements at the site.
• Assist Project Manager with safety procedures and inspections.
• Conduct weekly checks on the first aid box and worker documentation.

Job description

Prepare the pre-job hazard assessment in documentation required by the site safety requirement.

To ensure contractors and workers are complying with the safety requirements at site.

Comply with all Safety & Health requirements in customer sites.

Assist Project Manager on safety matters, procedures and specifications as required by client.

Assist Project Manager to ensure all workers are wearing PPE (personal protective equipment).

Perform inspection on the tools and equipment used by contractor.

Assist Project Manager and identify any safety issues during project execution.

Check inventory of the first aid box weekly.

Ensure workers’ passport, working permit, CIDB or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at site.

Attend Safety Meetings at site.

Ensure all the safety requirements complied by everyone at site.

To ensure workers are working in safe and healthy condition.

Ensure all equipment/machinery are complying to safety requirement and safe to be used.

Coordinate with site team conducting housekeeping activity to ensure site cleanliness and tidiness.

To prepare Safety Reports, HIRARC etc

To ensure workers are being briefed and working accordingly to the Job Safety Analysis and HIRARC.

Notify superior if there is any urgent or emergency in site if necessary.

To involve in incident investigation if there is any incident at site.

To check the certificate of PMA & PMT

Perform all other tasks as assigned that reasonably relate to regularly assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Candidate is mandatory to posses Yellow book

Candidate must be willing to work at Project site within Johor (Kulai or Kota Tinggi)
