Job summary

A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a valid safety supervisor license, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be fluent in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. The role includes overseeing safety practices, conducting site inspections, and leading safety meetings to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor competency license registered with DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 2 years of related working experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To ensure the Company’s Safety and Health Management System is in compliance with relevant statutory requirements, including the International Standards, local regulations, code of practices and legal requirements through continuous review;
• To provide advice, guidance and support to the organization with regards to health and safety legislation, issues and compliance together with all applicable organization policies and practices, referring to Manager as appropriate;
• Overseeing site safety in construction site;
• Preparation and implementation of project safety plan;
• Daily inspection of construction site and ensuring compliance with safety plan;
• Preparation of weekly safety inspection and status reports;
• Conduct safety toolbox meetings with all subcontractors and workers on-site;
• To attend all Safety and Health meetings;
• Inspect and monitor usage of all machinery, tools, fire-fighting equipment, first-aid kits and worker PPE on-site;
• Coordination with subcontractors and verification of their safety procedures;
• Rectification of all identified unsafe practices on-site;
• To lead with investigating incidents and accidents to ensure the timely production of corrective and preventative action plans;
• Advise and lead employees and sub-contractors on various safety-related topics;
• Work closely with employees and sub-contractors to ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents;
• To undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor competency license registered with DOSH/JKKP (Must have valid Yellow Book)
• Minimum 2 years of related working experience
• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office application)
• Workplace: Bestari Jaya, Selangor
