Job description

The SSS is to perform duties of the Site Safety Supervisor as specified in the FMA (BOWEC) Regulation 25 (3&4). The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for employees under their supervision and ensuring effective enforcement of Safety and Health regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining safe working conditions and good housekeeping in all areas.
  • Enforcing the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses, eye protection, gloves, safety shoes, etc., as required by Project Rules and Government regulations.
  • Correcting unsafe work practices and conditions when observed.
  • Reporting all accidents, near misses, incidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisonings, and diseases to the Safety and Health Officer, and assisting in investigations.
  • Participating in investigation teams for incidents.
  • Monitoring work areas for conditions that could cause injury or property damage and taking immediate corrective actions.
  • Ensuring safety procedures and hazards are explained to employees before work begins.
  • Working closely with the Safety and Health Manager and SHO to eliminate unsafe practices and hazardous conditions.
  • Monitoring and supervising subcontractors' work.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registration with JKKP (Yellow Book).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field, familiar with OSHA requirements, and knowledgeable in safety practices.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
