As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures at solar construction sites. Your primary objective will be to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel, contractors, and visitors involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Program Management:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program specific to solar EPCC projects, aligned with industry standards and local regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, and documentation of safety training programs.
• Provide regular safety reports to management, highlighting safety performance, areas of improvement, and recommended corrective actions.

2. Safety Training and Education:

• Conduct safety orientation and induction programs for all personnel, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops to enhance safety awareness and promote a safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure that all personnel possess the necessary safety certifications, licenses, and training required to perform their duties safely.

3. Safety Inspections and Audits:

• Conduct regular site inspections to assess compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, or conditions that may pose a risk to personnel, equipment, or the environment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective measures promptly.

4. Incident Management and Investigation:

• Lead and coordinate the investigation of accidents, incidents, near-misses, and other safety-related events.
• Identify root causes of incidents and develop recommendations to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
• Ensure that all incidents are reported, documented, and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Assist in managing insurance claims related to safety incidents, if required.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated with relevant safety regulations, codes, standards, and best practices applicable to solar EPCC projects in Malaysia.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Liaise with government authorities, safety regulatory agencies, and external auditors, as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Yellow Book holder registered with Department of Occupational Safety Health (DOSH).
• Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction or renewable energy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, with a focus on construction site safety.
• Familiarity with solar EPCC projects and associated safety considerations will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and influence others in the adoption of safety practices.
• Proficiency in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Willing to travel & must have own transport.
