The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is seeking a Site Landscape Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of the Taiping War Cemetery in Malaysia. This role involves leading a team in efficiently managing cemetery grounds, ensuring safety practices are followed, and maintaining high standards for the preservation of war memorials.
As Site Landscape Supervisor, you will support the Country Manager in the execution and co-ordination of the ground’s maintenance, equipment upkeep, and worker supervision for the Taiping War Cemetery
You will draw upon your experience and knowledge to lead by example and supervise assigned staff or contractors, ensuring they efficiently, safely, and economically maintain the cemetery and memorials to the standards specified by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC).
What You'll Do:
Regularly maintain and repair CWGC property, including cemetery grounds, memorials, trees, facilities, and equipment.
Organize, plan, and supervise all upkeep and maintenance work of assigned workers.
Ensure workers are trained on equipment use and promote compliance with CWGC health and safety practices for self and others.
Report damages, vandalism, theft, structural defects, or other changes observed within or in the vicinity of assigned cemeteries and memorials.
What We're Looking For:
A passionate landscaper or grounds keeper at least 3 years of relevant experience operating landscape machinery through landscaping or groundskeeping operations.
Strong leader with effective communication skills and experience in supervising or mentoring others.
High level of literacy in native language. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is desirable.
A good general level of physical fitness.
Legal right to work in Malaysia is essential and a valid passport is desirable.
